BUFF THEATRE CENTER STAGE

Buff Theatre is a high school theatre company at Thurgood Marshall High School of Fort Bend ISD. Buff Theatre aims to nurture confidence and creativity in youth through performing art. The department produces full length plays and musicals, in addition to blackbox productions which range in genre and content. Plays are performed in September through the month of April.

History

Founded in 2002, the Marshall Theatre Department began with simple puppet shows on campus preformed by students. In the years after opening, Marshall competed in a variety of UIL competitions and developed more complex productions each increasing in caliber. The Marshall campus has experienced tremendous growth in theatre from its early days, since producing fan favorites such as The Homecoming Queen (2019), The Lion King (2021), and Ruined (2022). In 2022, the Marshall Theatre Department was rebranded to Buff Theatre by the 2022 Officer Team and continues to produce entertaining and impactful art today.
